Simply put, I don't write technical pieces about earth sciences. There are enough technical writers in my field. The purpose of my publications is to tell the stories of the Earth, to translate the science into something that an interested general audience can appreciate and from which they can develop their own knowledge. I write about what I love: rocks and ancient creatures, landscapes and seascapes, rivers and mountains, adventures in the wilderness. I write about This Earth.
